Namibia

Namibia is a country of incomparable beauty. In this land of unconfined spaces and wide horizons, a feeling of freedom will pervade you!
Dreamed by all travelers, Namibia is a place of solitude and silence and a photographer’s paradise with it’s unique landscapes and sunsets.

The Etosha National Park 'place of dry water' is one of the major sanctuaries for wildlife in Africa. It is reputed for the exceptional diversity of its fauna: 114 mammals are found here. You can see cheetah, elephant, gemsbok, giraffe, hartebeest, black-faced impala, kudu, leopard, lion, rhinocero, springbok, wildebeest, zebra and the rarest Damara dik-dik, as well as some of the 340 recorded bird species.

Let Mal d’Africa take you through the Namib-Naukluft National Park. In the Nama language, Namib means vast. The Namib Naukluft Park is the largest conservation area in Namibia and one of the largest in the world, at almost 50,000 km2.
This park consists of desert and semi-desert. The animal species living in the park include cheetah, klipspringer, kudu, leopard, springbok and zebra.
Visit Sossusvlei which boasts the highest dunes in the world and Dead Vlei: a fascinating old pan with merely the skeletons of trees left – some over 500 years old.

The Skeleton Coast Park is renowned for its physical grandeur and solitude. Access by untarred road from Swakopmund or from Khorixas. Elephants, hyenas, jackals and a wide variety of birds live here. The Park is named after the skeletons of seafarers, their shipwrecks and whales that have washed onto shore. Sailors that survived to arrive at this shore would then perish in the harsh. Visit Cape Cross, the breeding place of the Cape Fur Seals.

Waterberg Plateau Park consists of savannah and woodland. Antelopes, buffaloes, bushbabies, cheetahs, rhinoceros, and more than 100 species of birds live here.
Waterberg is a 150m high plateau of vividly colored sandstone rising out of the surrounding plains like a towering oasis. Up to 16km wide, the top of the plateau is covered with lush vegetation and offers habitat to many rare and endangered species such as sable and roan antelope.

The Caprivi Game Reserve is located in the Caprivi Strip, a finger of land extending between the 4 countries of Angola, Zimbabwe, Botswana and Zambia. It borders the famous Okavango River and on the opposite bank is the Mahango Game Reserve,
Animal species living in the park include crocodiles, hippopotamus and a wide variety of birds.
